Cerrato Toasted is a blended cheese made from pasteurised cow’s, sheep’s and goat’s milk. Cured for more than 180 days, it is characterised by its orange colour and its roasted and fruity aroma. The intense flavour of this cheese is the result of the careful combination of the different milks used in its production.
Pasteurised cow’s milk (min. 30%), sheep’s milk (min. 30%), goat’s milk (min. 30%), salt and rennet.
Wheat beers, barrel-fermented white wines and red wines.
Jams, corn breads, dried fruits, hazelnuts, almonds and peanuts are the perfect accompaniments for Cerrato Toasted.
Cerrato Toasted has an interior with beige tones, the result of the delicate blend of the three milks (goat’s, cow’s and sheep’s milk), native to the Cerrato region. When this cheese is cut, it has eyes of varying sizes.
The flavour that unfolds on the palate is both elegant and full at the same time. With each bite, the smoothness of the blend of sheep’s, goat’s and cow’s milk can be appreciated. It has a surprising sweet touch with some umami flavour.
It has a notable toasted aroma, although there are also dairy aromas, reminiscent of melted butter and milk.
Slightly creamy and sticky texture.
